Story

Hello friend, thanks for stopping by!

The more observant among you will have noticed that you don't very often find me and running in the same sentence but after hearing so many inspiring supporter stories and sobbing over a few too, I thought it was probably time to get off my bum!

I'm going to run half a marathon in 7 days, starting from today (6 August 2020) to raise money for our Woodland House Appeal, and help bring a brand new, purpose-built, bereavement centre to Birmingham Women's Hospital. Woodland House will provide a calm, safe space away from the hustle and bustle of the main hospital, a place where families experiencing pregnancy and baby loss can spend time together until they're ready to face the world again.

Now, running 21k over 7 days might not seem much for some, but after setting out this morning thinking "I'll just get a cheeky 3k in before breakfast" and then crawling home looking like a sweaty tomato after just 2 (see header image for reference), I think it's safe to say I've got my work cut out.

Please give whatever you can to help me reach my target, to help make Woodland House a reality and help break the silence surrounding pregnancy and baby loss.

Thanking you kindly xxx
