I am running a marathon relay in the Manchester Marathon on 6th April 2014 and would like to raise money for Maggie's Centres in memory of Caroline Willgoose, my dear friend Liz Seddon's sister. Caroline sadly lost her battle against cancer in December 2013, aged only 37 years.

Liz is fundraising, together with many of Caroline's colleagues and friends, in memory of her sister.  Liz will be walking the National Three Peaks in under 24 hours in June with Caroline's colleagues from John Lewis and also running in the 5k colour run on 21 June.  Liz has chosen to raise money for Maggie's Centres by taking part in activities that Caroline loved.  Caroline had completed the Three National Peaks in June 2009 and she had also hoped to take part in the Great North Run last year but was too ill to run so I would like to dedicate my efforts in my half marathon to her and would love to be able to contribute to the appeal in Caroline's memory.

Maggie's Centre in Edinburgh provided a great deal of support to Caroline during her illness and she volunteered for them to help others living with cancer. Maggie's Centres are there for anyone and everyone affected by cancer, offering a programme of support that has been shown to strengthen physical and emotional wellbeing.
