Hello and thank you for donating towards my fundraising for the Secondary Breast Cancer Charity Make 2nds Count. 

Having been treated for primary breast cancer I feel I want to help in any way I can to fund research into secondary incurable breast cancer to help ladies and men affected by this disease. 

I had planned to put lots of training in for the Marathon however my breast reconstruction surgery was then booked so I decided to scrap it and book for another year ….

However plans changed I ended up having covid and my surgery was postponed until end of summer. 

I got my Marathon number through last week and on a whim decided I was going to give it a bash with no training ( I know what you are thinking , crazy right) 

I feel fit enough to give it a bash and worst case I will walk to the finish line whilst knowing I am raising funds for an amazing charity. 

Unfortunately I have lost friends who I connected with through sharing our stories on Instgram and it breaks my heart that they are gone. Many families are affected by secondary breast cancer and I hope any amount of fundraising will hopefully give families more time with their loved one ❤️

Every day I wake up grateful for another day with my friends and family and I hope your donations can help make a difference for our future generations  and hopefully research a cure in the near future 🤍

Secondary breast cancer is breast cancer which has spread from the breast to other parts of the body. Although secondary breast cancer can be treated, there is no cure. Unlike those living with primary breast cancer, there is no end of treatment, there is no remission. It’s estimated that 35,000 people are currently living with secondary breast cancer in the UK yet only 7% of the National funding for cancer goes towards this incurable disease. Make 2nds Count aim to address this imbalance. Please give generously!
