Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
My 9 year old daughter Peach has been suffering with 2 chronic pain disabilities since she was 3 years old. Not only does she have Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis, but she also battles CRPS (complex regional pain syndrome) which means Peach is in a horrible amount of pain every single day. These disabilities cannot be cured, only managed. These conditions affect her knees, legs, back, ankles and her jaw. She is so strong and resilient and has had multiple operations. She also has to have 2 weekly injections which lower her immune system, this in turn makes her tired and susceptible to infection. She rarely complains and she loves life, but it takes its toll on her little body. She is amazing.
Alder Hey have an amazing specialist childhood arthritis team, who for years have taken care of Peach. Their hydrotherapy and physiotherapy are outstanding departments, and without them, the amazing nurses and consultants, Peach would not have made me progress she has.
To raise much needed funds for this amazing hospital charity who I know help thousands of children around the UK, and who will continue to support Peach with her disabilities for years to come, Lisa and I are planning to take on The Snowdon Challenge in June this year. We have already started training for this and cannot wait to complete the walk up Mount Snowdon in Wales.
We will keep you updated with training videos and our progress along the way. Any support you can offer us will be greatly appreciated, and rest assured, the money raised is going to a fantastic charity.
Thanks so much!
