Ron died in January 2011 after a short 10 month battle against mesothelioma - a very aggressive strain of lung cancer.

During his last months he was cared for by the wonderful staff at The Princess Alice Hospice in Esher. The care and support given to both Ron and myself was exceptional and made those last months easier to handle.

My way of saying thank you for their help and support is to raise as much money as I can so they can continue to offer help to those who need it.

Princess Alice is a charity and relies on fundraising to continue their work providing end of life care and to supplement their modest NHS grant.
