In August last year my dear friend's husband passed way suddenly and unexpectedly after suffering a subarachnoid haemorrhage caused by an unknown brain aneurism. He was airlifted to, and treated in, the Pencarrow Ward at the Derriford Hospital in Plymouth after falling ill while enjoying a surfing weekend with Sam and friends.

On May bank holiday weekend our group will take on the Thee Peaks Challenge. Sam and Nev completed this previously but with Sam being such a wimp, and Nev being the guy he was they didn't make the 24 hour target as he held back to help her finish! So we are hoping that most, if not all, of us complete this in under 24 hours in this amazing man's memory.

One of the pieces of equipment used on Neville during his stay was an air-circulation cooling unit which was found out to cost £11,000 to buy!! So we are hoping as a group we can raise as much as possible towards this goal for Spring intensive Care, which is Derriford Hospitals ICU Registered Charity.
