Story

I am going to be cycling the distance it is from lands end in Cornwall to John o groats at the very top of Scotland which is a total distance of over 1083miles.

I am doing this to challenge myself and also to raise money for this great charity that’s helping to save the oceans which intern will help save lots of animals and the planet. So many animals in the ocean die due to eating the plastic, that is put their by us into the ocean.

So please if you can spare anything, no matter how much, every penny helps towards saving more animals and oceans. Thank you so much

Ocean plastic is a planetary crisis , according to UN Oceans Chief, Lisa Svensson. Each week a new study is released about how plastic has been found in a new species or habitat. Inside animals, at the bottom of the ocean, in our water and in our air - plastic is everywhere. We want to see more ocean and less plastic, so A Rocha is:* Developing a global citizen science project on nurdles - small plastic pellets used for industrial plastic production often found washed up on beaches;* Publishing articles and making presentations that explore the theological implications of marine plastics;* Improving and updating our Microplastics Toolbox, including science, education, lifestyle and theological resources to start your own plastic project;* Working with A Rocha organizations around the world to develop clean-up projects in key habitats such as beaches, mangroves, rivers and lakes. Your support today can make a difference. Thank you!(Photo: Ben Porter, benporterwildlife.co.uk)
