This year at Northern Ireland Children's Hospice we cared for over 370 children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, in both our inpatient unit - Horizon House and in the local community. We rely on your generous donations to continue to fund our vital services.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 10th November 2019 it will be 10 years since Lucy Parke came into our lives. She went to heaven on 1st Jan 2018, aged 8. Lucy’s Mum and Dad have endeavoured to attempt to run 5K a day for the first 10 days in November to remember and thank God for the 10 years since they first met their Princess Lucy, finishing on the date of her birthday. Some family and friends have also taken up the challenge and will be walking, running or cycling 5K each day.

Lucy and her family received a great deal of support and care from the NI children’s Hospice and money will go directly to their ‘I’m coming home’ appeal. This appeal hopes to provide a specialised bed and nursing staff so that a child can spend the last days of their life in their family home or in the hospice instead of in hospital. If you would like to sponsor us then your generosity is very much appreciated. Every little bit donated will make a difference in the families of so many children who need support of the hospice. If you would also spend some time giving thanks to our God for Lucy’s life then we would value your prayers. Many thanks The Parke family.
