All, thank you so much for visiting my page.  In just a couple of months, this November myself  and Deutsche Bank colleagues take on a brave challenge where we will trek 54km through the mountains and forests of Cuba. This is in support of Deutsche Bank's Charities of the Year, Cure Leukaemia and Rays of Sunshine.

Cure Leukaemia

Around 14,000 people a year die from blood cancers in Britain, equivalent numbers to those who die from breast cancer.  The prospect of survival for many adults with blood cancers is still less than 50%

There is an urgent need for leukaemia patients to access new, potentially lifesaving drugs so that they can share in the remarkable progress that is being made in so many other cancers.

The battle against leukaemia has already achieved a number of important victories. In 2001, and following significant trials, pioneering drug Glivec was given approval by the FDA in America, and has since transformed the lives of many people with chronic myelogenous leukaemia (CML)

Rays of Sunshine

There are currently 49,00 children in the K living with serious or life-limiting illness, and many will not reach adulthood. Rays of Sunshine exist is to brighten up the lives of these courageous children and their families, putting their illnesses on hold and fulfilling their greatest wishes.  Their work provides a distraction, reduces feelings of isolation and lets children be children again.  Your support will help grant magical wishes and transform the lives of 24,000 seriously and terminally ill children across the UK.
