Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  I have been involved with Southend Blind Welfare Organisation for many years as a Trustee and have recently been appointed Vice Chairman.  

I am walking to raise awareness of the charity and also raise much needed funds.  I aim to take part in The Colourthon "Twilight" walk which is set against the backdrop of Southend by night.  It is an excellent event organised by Southend RoundTable.

The aim of the organisation is to support the visually impaired in Southend and surrounding areas.  There is a residential home in Westcliff, Elkington House;  a Resouce Centre at our HQ in Westcliff together with a meeting room for clubs etc. We also offer support at the Southend Hospital Eye Clinic where we have an information desk.

All being well I will be walking with a number of people supporting SBWO.
