Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Me and my husband have decided to enter the Wirral LLR Bikeathon on Sunday 17th June. Us and some friends have formed a team called TEAM DEB to raise money for Rare blood disease and disorder charitys such as lymphoma and leukemia.
We heard about the bikeathon through my workplace and decided to enter. It is a 26 mile round trip from Arrow Park Golf Club across Wirral. Apart from the fact that we love cycling and we want to raise money for a good cause the main reason we are doing it is for my Mum Debbie.
Mum contracted a very rare virus back in May 2001 called Thrombocytapenia Purpura which was that rare only 2 cases in 28 years had been diagnosed at arrowe park both which proved to be fatal due to lack of knowledge about the blood disease.
She sadly passed away on the 31st May 2001 aged 35. Please give what you can every penny counts towards finding a cure for these horrible diseases.
