Story
So myself, Paul, Andy & Darren are taking part in the Super Sprint Triathlon at Blenheim on 2nd June 2019.
400m swim
13.2km bike ride
2.9km run
Paul, Andy & Darren are all keen athletes and have been training hard for this event. I cannot run any more due to a secondary tumour on my pelvis but will happily push through my pain barrier to beat this guys!
Please give generously and feel free to join us at Blenheim on the day, for morale support and having a laugh at us in skin-tight wetsuits and try-gear.
I was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer September 2017, the kindly tumour has gone on a tour of my body, sightseeing in my adrenal gland, pelvis, lung, spine and nasal area.
Radiotherapy walloped the nasal area and drug therapy is keeping a lid on the other stuff
In fact my tumour has reduced from a starting 11cm down to around 6cms 🤞😄
Keeping active and fit is a huge part of tackling the side effects of chemo drug, it helps loads
Thanks for looking and donating 👍
