Thames Path Ultra Challenge 2022 · 10 September 2022 to 11 September 2022 ·

We have a very clear vision: a world where people's lives are no longer limited by Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

Story

Hello - welcome to the all important sponsorship page. I'm putting myself through 50km miles of along the Thames path from Putney to Runnymede. That’s over 30 miles in old money, about 5 miles more than your common or want your money (for a good cause). The 50 at 50 title comes from me doing this the weekend after my 50th birthday: it’s cheaper than buying a Sportscar.

I'm raising money for Action Duchenne (more on them somewhere else on the page). Why them? A friend of mine's son has the condition. You can find out more about the charity at: www.actionduchenne.org

Duchenne muscular dystrophy is a severe muscle wasting condition. People living with Duchenne typically need to use a powered wheelchair from their early teens. Life expectancy is around 30 years, there is no cure.I am raising money for Action Duchenne, an amazing UK charity which spends 87p in every £1 they raise on ground-breaking Duchenne research, world-class support for Duchenne families, and cutting edge science education. Please donate to help Action Duchenne continue their vital work.Thank you for your support.
