Climate chaos is one of the greatest injustices we face. Together we can STOP this climate crisis.

Story

This year we're dedicating our Christian Aid fundraising walk to the memory of Rosemary Kidd. Rosemary was much loved in Whaley Bridge and we all miss her. She was a passionate supporter of Christian Aid.

The walk starts at 11am on 10th September at Pym Chair and offers a 5k loop down to Taxal and then an optional, different, 5k loop back for those who want to do the longer walk. There is a loo at Taxal and we can have the lunch stop there.

Hope you can sign up and support us!

This is information from Christian Aid about their current work:-

The climate crisis is leaving people hungry, homeless and heartbroken. People like Rose are struggling to survive without a reliable source of water.

I often feel hungry, Rose says. Because of climate change, I worry a lot about food. I pray to God that the rainfall will become normal like it used to be. In recent years, the drought has been so bad that its caused a hunger crisis. Crops wither and die. Rivers run dry. People struggle to survive.

Without water for handwashing, it is a struggle to stay safe from the virus.

Please support my fundraiser this Christian Aid Week and help to provide a reliable water source for people like Rose. Your gift will help support Christian Aid's vital work with some of the poorest communities in the world. Thank you!
