Story

I am taking on the challenge of running the iconic London Marathon to raise much needed and vital funds for Cornwall Hospice Care in October 2022. In the first lockdown, Mount Edgcumbe Hospice cared for a patient named Terry, and during this time, he talked to the about his experiences, and what being cared for at the hospice meant to him. His sheer relief at the peace and comfort he found there meant he was concerned for others in the same position as him, knowing the impact the coronavirus pandemic would have on charities. When he knew that hospice beds were at risk of closing, Terry wanted to help. Sadly, Terry passed away, but the compassion he felt for others lives on. You can help keep Terry's bed open by sponsoring me today - every £20 raised will fund an hour of nursing care.
