Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My Grandma shared a wonderful life with my Grandad only for the her final years taken away from her by this cruel cruel disease.
Grandma and Grandad were married for nearly 70 years, raising 6 children on their farm in Rossendale, later moving to the Lake District to run their own caravan park. In retirement they loved nothing more than going on cruises and were always together. She was such a bubbly person, always the life of the party and loved a good dance.
Alzheimer's is such a cruel disease because it can take away your most precious memories. Grandma reached a stage a few years ago where she couldn't recognise her own children, but always remembered my Grandad Philip. If the money raised from me completing the Great North Run in the memory of my Grandma (Marie Hilton) can help to support any family with a loved one suffering with this terrible illness then I would be delighted.
Please please give as much as you possibly can and I thank you all in advance.
Love you Grandma xx
