The service this wonderful charity provides involves taking local children with additional needs and, more recently, local adults with additional needs, for weekend outings such as swimming, bowling, ice skating or other fun leisure activities. This provides vital support for parents, guardians and carers and gives a fun experience for the children and adults they enable and ensures they have the opportunity to avail of the opportunities for inclusion within the local community.

For the past ten years I have volunteered for this wonderful charity by helping them complete their financial accounts for them. As a chartered accountant this is the easiest way to provide some practical help.

Next weekend I have the opportunity to raise money for them by doing the Great North Run to allow them to continue supporting local children and adults with additional needs.
