Story
I'm 52 years old, overweight but I do make lycra look good. Last year I lost my father to COVID-19, he was an active member of RAFA especially during his 10 years in Spain.
I needed something positive to focus on to help me with the loss so I decided to get my bike out of the shed and I'm taking up his mantle and carrying on the fund raising he started. I'm going to be taking part in the RAFARides 2021 virtually by riding at least 50 miles around the Cotswolds. On average 20 miles is a safe distance for me so 50 miles will be putting me out of my comfort zone.
RAFARides 2021 returns to join up our real life and virtual worlds!United, we will support the most vulnerable in our RAF community. The RAF protects our peace and security 24/7 throughout the world. Cyclists from around the globe are joining TeamRAFA to show their support. Collectively we are aiming to cycle 24,901 miles in 24 hours, with riders from Europe, the USA, Australia and New Zealand, all connected by one aim: support for our RAF community. All fundraising will ensure we can continue to help all those in need of our support.
