Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Kate and Michelle will be the first female team in the world to
take on the 430-mile Montane Yukon Artic Ultra.

In snow and icy conditions across a frozen river with an
average temperatures of minus 35, we will be walking the equivalent of
Dover to Glasgow which they hope to complete in 12 days. We will have to pull a sled with all our provisions – food, clothes, tent, medical supplies – needed for the duration of the race which starts on 3 February 2019.

Kate, a former member of the Royal Army Veterinary Corps,
and Michelle who is also a teacher, have been training for some months by walking across Kent pulling tyres to mimic the resistance of the sled weight over tough terrain. They have also camped with minimal equipment to prepare mentally and physically. Last year, Michelle completed the 100-mile stage of the challenge and was the only British competitor to finish.
