I am really excited to be taking part in this Heritage Trek to Latvia and Lithuania next May. Not only will I be helping to raise funds for two very worthwhile local Glasgow charities  -  Jewish Care Scotland and Cosgrove Care,  but I will also be passing through the Shtetl (village) of Zagare, the birth place of my maternal grandfather.

As well as visiting the roots of many Glaswegians' whose history is steeped in the Latvian/Lithuanian border it gives me great pleasure to be raising much needed funds for Jewish Care Scotland and Cosgrove Care - a charity for people with learning disabilities, and a cause close to our family's heart.
