This is The Junction's 16th year of supporting young people in Leith and North East Edinburgh to achieve their full potential. To celebrate we will be asking you to join us in raising funds over the year so we can continue to offer this support.

Story

To mark my 16th birthday I am aiming to raise funds for the excellent, community based service, The Junction, who are also celebrating their 16th year. I need your support!

My name is Stephen Langdon, a S5 student at Boroughmuir High School. I am raising awareness in school of the importance of young people having somewhere locally to go when they start to struggle with their mental health and wellbeing.

The Junction is a safe, friendly, confidential centre, which offers lots of health related services, education and support for young people aged 12-21 who live in Leith and North Edinburgh. Allowing young people to talk about their mental health and have access to support is really important to me. I do not want any young person to feel alone in their struggles. Through raising funds, I would like to support the Junction to keep on providing help to local young people who need mental health care. Mental health is in crisis - Help me to help others!
