Hi everyone, and thanks for visiting our justgiving page. Please read on for the reasons behind our quest….
Two and a half years ago one of our closest friends, Andrew Eastcroft, was paralysed from the chest down after falling 30 feet over a wall. Following a long rehabilitation getting used to a wheelchair, Andrew has re-built his life and is carrying on with his life in Edinburgh. He is a true inspiration to all of us with his ability to not let anything get in his way – last weekend he attended the Rockness music festival, and next week is making the journey to the Glastonbury music festival.
One of his biggest challenges is taking place on the 9th of July as the both of us, along with 12 other friends, push Andrew up Mount Snowdon in Wales (all 3560 feet of it!) in order to raise money for the Back Up Trust, a charity which has given Andrew a great deal of support in adjusting to the practicalities of life with a spinal cord injury (http://www.backuptrust.org.uk/Home).
We need to raise £400 between us in order to be eligible for the Push, so any donations you can send will be greatly appreciated in order to help “The Beastie Boys” succeed in our mission. If the entire team raise the £200 each, we will make over £3000 for the Trust. There are 15 teams taking place, so that’s a lot of money to be raised!
Many thanks in advance for your support.
