I am excited and proud to be running in "Eiger Ultra Trail" while raising funds for Orbis.  Running the "Eiger Ultra Trail" has been my personal goal and I have been a Orbis supporter for over 15 years.  I want to use this opportunity to develop a deeper awareness of the work of Orbis amongst my family, friends and acquaintances.  

Globally, 1.1 billion people live with vision loss. 90% of this is avoidable. Losing your sight can be emotionally traumatic and isolating. It can prevent children from learning, adults from working and affects people in low incomes the most. By supporting my run, you can help make quality eye care accessible everywhere, for everyone.

Together with your help we can make sure Orbis are able to continue their vital work focusing on the prevention of blindness and the treatment of blinding eye diseases; whoever and wherever they are.

I will be self-funding the trip and any donation will go directly to Orbis. In 2022, Orbis distributed 3.4 million doses of antibiotics in Ethiopia to treat and prevent trachoma, and provided over 34,000 eye treatments.   

Just by donating your support could help save sight worldwide.  For every GBP 1 Orbis receives, 86.1p goes directly towards saving sight.  The remaining 13.9p goes towards raising more funds.
