Story
Cancer sucks, lets not dance around that. I personally lost a very close friend to Leukemia around 10 years ago and I still miss him, however the Nurses from Macmillan really made a difference to him in his final months. The heartbreaking thing is, I don't need to go into details for you to know what happened, because statistically, almost everyone reading this page will know someone who suffered from Cancer at some point in their life and if you don't, you will at some point in the future. That's what makes Macmillan such a Vital service, they provide care when it's needed most, when people are at their worst, Macmillan are there and that's something I'll support every damn chance I get.
If you know me, you are probably aware I've already held a 24 hour stream under the GameChangers banner last year, during which as a community we managed to raise £1,250. This was incredible and I was humbled by the community reaction, but this year, I think we can do better. Now, "how do you do better?" I hear you ask, to answer that, I turned to my closest friend Simon, or, as some of you may know him "My Name Is Simon", apparently he's kind of a big deal over on YouTube these days (10k subs and climbing!), which I'm insanely proud of him for, but, he's about to do something even more amazing. Between us, we aim to maintain a live stream for 72 consecutive hours! This will involve him travelling down to Liverpool so we can "tag-team" our way to our goal. During the stream, there will be much sillyness, (especially as tiredness sets in!), with song requests being active, donation incentives, including the ever popular Disney Karaoke, as well as the Disney Princess punishment for whoever is "off duty" when/if we beat last years target. We are also open to any suggestions for other incentives, if you'll donate for it, we'll probably do it, as long as it doesn't break Twitch rules, or involve me shaving the beard (No, it won't happen, don't even try).
Thanks for reading guys, the stream will be live at https://www.twitch.tv/fullmetalcos from Friday - Monday (start time to be announced very soon), so even if you can't donate, pop by, keep us company, enjoy the fun. Stay classy my friends.
