Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

After the Royal Parks Half Marathon last Autumn, I'm giving the Big 1 a go this April - the London Marathon. I was so inspired watching it on the tv last year and decided I should do it, not only for personal achievement but to do something great for a charity to help people that are not as fortunate as myself.

I raised money last year for the Eve Appeal, which was a very emotional run as it is the charity which will help ovarian cancer research which my dear Mum died of 4 years ago. I am raising money taking part in the Marathon for a less known charity called the Lifetrain Trust. My Mum always thought she was put on God's Earth to help others and care for people. Not only was she a great baker and cook (looking after Dad, my brother Michael and me) but she was a great listener and giver of advice. It is because of this that I have chosen the Lifetrain Trust. They help to provide less privileged and disabled youngsters to achieve something which they can only dream about. I've always believed you should 'follow your dreams', you only get one chance in this life!

Please help me raise as much as possible for this charity, and give someone a glimmer of hope.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
