Story
Thanks for visiting my page.
In short my good friend, the legend that was, Marcus Littler passed away last year having collapsed suddenly from a problem with his heart. The British Heart Foundation seemed like the obvious and worthy cause to do something in his memory.
For those that didn't know Marcus; our wives, Estella and Leigh, are pretty much inseparable best friends and have been for 25 years or so, that meant Marcus and I were best buddies too. He was a Warrant Officer in the RAF and the team leader's team leader in the RAF Mountain Rescue. The phrase 'Heroes don't always wear capes' was an accurate description of the man, having saved countless lives in both his roles.
Marcus was kind, gentle, mostly sensible, but with a wicked sense of humour - he was unassuming but still managed to command the respect of any room he entered. He is dearly missed, especially by his family and close friends.
If you can help support in anyway I'm sure The BHF will absolutely appreciate it.
The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thanks!
