Kilimanjaro Trek 2022 · 8 September 2022 to 18 September 2022 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page;
As many of you will already know, in September, I'll be lucky enough to join the Nightingale House Hospice team on their fourth incredible international challenge; a sponsored climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa's tallest mountain and the tallest free-standing mountain in the world.
Nightingale House has not only helped my own family in the past, but thousands of families across North Wales by providing specialist palliative care services, completely free of charge.
I'm grateful for any and all donations, no matter how big or small. Each and every penny will be spurring me on to reach Uhuru Peak, the summit of Kilimanjaro aptly dubbed “The Roof of Africa” at 5,895m.
To reach the summit, we'll spend seven days trekking through savanna, rain forest, moorland, alpine desert and glacial mountain paths all while constantly battling with altitude sickness, severe weather and the rugged terrain of the dormant volcano. Spectacular views and the chance to give something back to such an amazing organisation will be the reward for pushing our limits, both physically and mentally on this amazing challenge.
I’m by no means an experienced mountaineer and I’ve never experienced the effects of altitude before. But with no small amount of training and perseverance I’m sure I’ll make it along with the rest of the team.
I’m also going to be taking on the National Three Peaks challenge in June, summitting Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and Snowdon in the span of 24 hours, and I’ll be sure to keep you all updated on that too.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity, making it the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
A heartfelt Thank you!
