Port to Pier Triathlon Challenge

On Tuesday the 8 July I am undertaking a “Port to Pier Triathlon Challenge” to support a programme of weekends to assist children who are newly diagnosed with diabetes. These Children need support, to continue to enjoy a fantastic life, living with a new life long term condition The challenge will involve;

  • A first leg cycle ride from the Port of Newhaven to Cuckmere, passing through Tide Mills and scaling on route the steep climb across “Seaford Head” that gives wonderful views back at Seaford and the Seven Sisters Country Park.
  • A walk across the steep climbs and descents of the “Seven Sisters” from Cuckmere Haven to Birling Gap, where coastguard cottages are perilously close to the sea as a result of coastal erosion.
  • A climb from Birling Gap to the Heights of Beachy Head.
  •  A final leg of  a swim from Eastbourne Seafront to Eastbourne Pier.
