Sunderland Partnership Kilimanjaro Challenge · 16 April 2010

We assist the Diocese of the Rift Valley, in education, health and development. Our projects for 2024 are: 1) To update our anaesthetics machine. This will attract specialist surgeons, making more surgeries possible and surgery safer. 2) To replace mattresses for students at St John's.

Story

Thank you, Thank you, thank you

The mountain is now behind us and Niels and Aaron and I all successfully made it to the top.

We presented the African Blackwood Conservation Project with over £10,000 (from the whole group) and we three were able to plant the first of 13,000 trees that furture generations will benefit from.

I was able to present a further £3000 to Kilimatinde Hospital on behalf of the three of us which will enable a second operating theatre to be able to be brought into use and begin so radical improvements on the first.  Further donations will go towards this work in the hospital.

To all who have donated please accept this invitation to come to my home on Sunday afternoon/evening for coffee and cakes or whatever to see some pictures and for me personally to say thank you for your generous sponsorship.

Best wishes

Stephen
