Working with district, provincial & national partners in Zambia & Mozambique, we support lasting, local solutions to reach everyone with water, sanitation & hygiene, leaving no one behind. Clean water, decent toilets & good hygiene practices, mean good health, and greater access to education

Story

Everyone deserves to live a healthy, happy life. Village Water support communities in Zambia and Mozambique be healthier by improving access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene education in schools, village and health centres. With your support we can make sure everyone has safe water to drink at home, a private toilet to use and learn how to protect themselves from disease. When they're healthier people can go to school, work or farm. They can fulfil their potential and move away from poverty.

Father and son Steve and Alex are looking forward to the challenge of climbing Kilimanjaro and look for support in raising funds for Village Water.

Steve is a member of Colwyn Bay Rotary Club and they and other clubs have given Village Water some funds in the past and we know that every penny donated goes to providing improvements to water provision and sanitation in remote villages without the usual deductions for admin and advertising.

Alex works at West London College's sports department and will be completing this challenge to help promote outdoor physical activity and environmental awareness whilst raising money for a worthy cause. As a Sports and Uniformed Public Services lecturer he wants to use this experience to demonstrate putting into practice all the skills and knowledge he regularly imparts to his students and hopefully bring this experience back to the classroom.
