On April 1 2019, Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Now merged to create one charity for everyone affected by breast cancer. From research to care, we have people affected by the breast cancer at our heart – providing support for today and hope for the future. United, we have the ability to carry out even more world-class research, provide even more life-changing support and campaign even more effectively for better services and care. On April 1 2019, Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Now are merging to create the UK’s largest breast cancer charity, united around the aim that by 2050 everyone who develops breast cancer will live and receive the support they need to live well now. Breast Cancer Care is a registered charity in England and Wales 1017658 and Scotland SC038104. From 1 April 2019 Breast Cancer Care will merge with Breast Cancer Now after that date all donations will go to Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Now a charity registered in England and Wales (No. 1160558) and Scotland (SC045584)

Every 10 minutes someone hears the devastating news that they have breast cancer. They’ll probably feel frightened and confused – and their family and friends might need help too.

Breast Cancer Care is just a phone call or mouse click away for anyone affected by breast cancer. Their free Helpline and information-packed website offer a friendly ear and expert guidance to anyone dealing with the turmoil of this life-threatening illness. They also offer support across the UK with a range of opportunities to meet others in a similar situation, helping people every step of the way.

Their services are free and widely available thanks to the generosity of people like you. By supporting my event, you can help to ensure that we are there whenever people need our expert help.

Here are a few examples of how your money can help:

£2 Provides a suitable headscarf for a woman who has lost her hair during treatment.
£5 Provides a comprehensive, easy-to-understand information pack for someone newly diagnosed with breast cancer.
£10 Teaches someone how to be breast aware for life at a local workshop.
£25 Trains and supports a member of our Nursing Network for a year to help improve the care of people with breast cancer.
£50 Pays for a personal HeadStrong appointment to help women prepare for the possibility of losing their hair from chemotherapy by providing practical support and information.
£100 Pays for four calls to our confidential Helpline so people with questions or concerns about breast cancer or breast health can get support from our expert team.
£150 Matches someone living with breast cancer with one of our trained volunteers for six sessions of one-to-one telephone support addressing their individual needs.
£250 Funds a Breast Cancer Care hospital information point for a year so people with breast cancer, and their family and friends, have access to our latest resources when visiting the clinic.
£500

Provides a package of support to a younger woman with breast cancer; including access to our Helpline, website, publications and a two-day course with expert speakers and specialist nurses.
