Story
I am taking part in Epilepsy Society's 60 Miles in September challenge to raise awareness for the 60,000 children diagnosed with epilepsy in the UK.
I was diagnosed with epilepsy in April 2024 at the age of 62. Since then I have had 11 seizures and over 50 partial seizures.
I want to support the Epilepsy Society in raising people’s awareness of the condition and what it means to live with the condition. I want to raise funds to support research in any way I can. I did several challenges last year raising £2000 in all.
Any donation that you are able to make will help them to continue their incredible work and will spur me on throughout my challenge! Below you can see how your donation could help.
£20 could help to ensure that someone who desperately needs to talk about their epilepsy can call our helpline.
£50 could help forward our world-leading research projects, leading to more accurate, personalised treatment.
£100 could help our research team to analyse genomics data, which will lead to better seizure control.Thank you so much for your support! Walk with me if you can!!
