Story

The William Merritt Disabled Living Centre will be part of GameBlast17, a nationwide gaming for good event that will transform the lives of gamers with disabilities. Thousands of people want to share a passion for video games, but their disabilities stop them playing. But with Special Effects help, people with disabilities are getting back in the game. Special Effect are a gamer’s charity. They put fun, inclusion and confidence back into the lives of people with disabilities by helping them to play video games. Here at the William Merritt Centre we know all too well the amazing work that Special Effect do and how they are changing lives that is why we are part of GameBlast17. We are hoping to have a team of gamers playing from 11am on Friday 24th of February through the night until 11am on Saturday 25th February.

The sponsorship we raise through our GameBlast17 marathon will help Special Effect change the lives of many more people by bringing the fun and inclusivity of gaming back into their lives.
