Our experienced team of doctors, nutritionists, counsellors and therapists help people feel better in mind, body and spirit. From eating well and keeping active, to managing emotions and staying connected to the things we love.

Story

My name is Steve Meers and I work as part of the Baxter Acute Technical Services team here in the UK. On 31st March, I will fly to Kathmandu Nepal, take a five hour bus ride and then a small light aircraft flight to Luka in the heart of the Nepalise mountains where after a day of acclimatization I will be walking 18500ft to base camp.

Completing this challenge has always been something I wanted to do and has been at the top of my bucket list for as many years as bucket lists have been about. When I heard my friends at my cricket club were doing this challenge it was written I would finally make it up the hill. I have been training for 7 months now to help me prepare, it has not been an easy to get this point and many challenges and sacrifices have had to be made, but with hope I will complete the climb in 14 days.

As well as undertaking this massive fitness and endurance challenge, I also hope to raise a few quid for our Charity of the Year, Penny Brohn. I know they will appreciate every penny you donate and ALL money raised from me on the trip will be going directly to the charity which will be put it to great use supporting people diagnosed with cancer through their wonderful services.
