Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am aiming to cycle 5000 miles and raise £5000 for Bloodwise in 2018. My wife Elizabeth and I have had many friends who have died of blood cancer of one form or another. We have seen children robbed of their parents and parents of their children because of these horrible diseases.
I have set my bold goal because of an accident I had in November 2016 which robbed me of my target distance of 5000 miles in 2016. I decided to establish the mileage goal for 2018 and ask friends and contacts to support every mile I ride in the year (including on my turbo trainer) with a donation to Bloodwise.
The headline events of London to Paris in September, plus L'Etape du Tour and Ride London 100 (both in July) will be backed up by participation in the Tour of Cambridgeshire and sportives throughout the year, including the demanding Fred Whitton Challenge in the Lake District.
I am going to give of my best but I can't do it by myself. I need help. Your gifts and help spreading the word will be vital. Please 'follow me' on Strava or MapMyRide. My rides will be posted each day. Thank you for your support.
