Leeds Xpress Triathlon · 1 August 2010
Thank you for taking the time to click through to visit my JustGiving page.
As you now know I will am taking part (not competing!) in the Leeds Xpress Triathlon on the 1st August 2010. This event consists of a 400m pool swim, 22km bike ride finishing with a 5km run.
You may also know that I have 2 daughters, Freya & Isla, and I am fotunate enough that they are happy & healthy little girls. But, I am acutely aware that not all parents and children are so lucky. So I have decided to use my exertions to raise money for the West Yorkshire Forget Me Not Trust.
The aim of the West Yorkshire Forget Me Not Trust is to provide care and support for children with life-limiting conditions. Those children and their families are from the Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield areas of West Yorkshire.
They need to raise funds to build a house for respite, emergency and end of life care, in Huddersfield. To do this they need to raise over £3million to build the centre.
No doubt I will be digging deep at various points on the 1st August and I would ask that you do so now to support this charity and their cause.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you in anticipation of your support.
