Portsmouth Kilimanjaro Trek for MRF · 30 August 2015 to 14 September 2015 ·

Meningitis Research Foundation is a charity driven by a passionate mission to prevent the devastating impact of meningitis. Founded by individuals whose lives were profoundly affected by meningitis, we are dedicated to enabling positive change by uniting people and knowledge to save lives.

Story

Hello!

Why should you help me on my journey to the top of the world's highest free-standing mountain?

Meningitis Research foundation are an incredible charity to fundraise for, whose vision is a world free of meningitis and septicaemia - two deadly diseases which can kill in hours. 10 people contract meningitis in the UK every day, 1 out of those 10 people will die from the disease, while 4 out of those 10 people are left with life altering disabilities including limb loss and permanent loss of hearing.

If our team is successful, we could raise enough money to fund the genome library research project for 1 year, fund a freephone support line for 3 months or fund 4 amputee support days, allowing the victims of meningitis to meet and gain support.

Please sponsor me to complete this once in a life time opportunity, any donation no matter how big or small will add towards my journey to the top of the mountain to help support the Meningitis Research Foundation.
