I love running and was inspired to run the London Marathon by my father who, having watched my brother complete a 9 day cycle ride from John A Groats to Lands End, reckoned no one else in the family had the courage to do something similar. I had to prove him wrong !  I was delighted to secure a place to run in The London Marathon for the NSPCC, as the mother of 4 healthy, happy, well adjusted children I am very saddened to think of the cruelty some children suffer. The Society is the UK"s leading charity specialising in child protection and the prevention of cruelty to children. Training to run a Marathon is tough and I have never even entered a 6 mile or half Marathon race before ! As I struggle through the training, thinking of the difference I could make to the lives of some children keeps me going........
