In recognition of the amazing support and work by the children's heart ward at Leicester (Glenfield) Hospital and the charity Heart Link we will be looking to see how many miles we can jointly accumulate during the same time as my son Albie's heart surgery, 7 hours and 25 minutes on his 1st birthday!

Albie was born with a heart condition called transposition of the great arteries (TGA) and successfully went through open heart surgery a few days after his birth. He is now a lively 10 month old boy who wouldn't be here without the amazing work of the east midlands heart centre.
