Coronavirus has touched the lives of everyone this year in different ways, for our family it had been a tough year as dad’s memory deteriorated and in early November he was admitted to hospital and then transferred into a nursing home for permanent care.  Due to Covid we were not allowed to see him which was heart breaking, especially for mum who was his full time carer and missed  him dearly. Unfortunately dad passed away on the 5th February as I  entered into week 6 of my steps challenge. Charities need our help more than ever so that's why I'm lacing up my shoes and taking on Step Up for Dementia in memory of our dad, covering 850,000 steps in 3 months.
