My Mam is currently battling this disease and her sister, my Aunty Margaret, lost her battle in April 2020.  I am doing this challenge to honour my Aunty Margaret's memory and to help my Mam's battle. It is so hard watching someone you love changing because of this disease....unless you have been touched by dementia you don't truly know what it is like and to have your Mam not recognise you is heartbreaking. I want to raise money to try and find a cure and better treatment so others don't have to go through what my family are going through.

The past few months have been tough for everyone but coronavirus has hit people affected by dementia the hardest and continues to disrupt lives.So that's why I'm taking on Step Up for Dementia and the Memory Walk..
