Great Manchester Run 10k 2021 · 26 September 2021 ·

Take on the Great Manchester Run for families facing dementia. Your much needed donations will fund our specialist dementia Admiral Nurses, who support families facing dementia across the UK.

Story

Dementia is becoming a common condition in the UK and effects multiple families around the world. This charity is so important amongst many others but this one has a special place in my heart.

My Nana recently passed away due to Alzheimer’s disease a form of dementia. There is still a lack of support and research around the condition and that’s why it’s so important to donate.

Here is just a little breakdown on how far your donation can go:

£27 could pay for a brand new Admiral Nurse for an hour, offering life-changing support to families facing dementia.

£50 could mean an Admiral Nurse can send life-changing advice on how to communicate with someone with dementia to 40 families.

£200 could pay for a brand new nurse for a whole day, offering life-changing support to families facing dementia.

£500 could allow two Admiral Nurses to take Helpline calls all day on a Sunday, when other services are closed.

By choosing to donate you will be making a difference to thousands of carers, families and people living with dementia across the UK.
