Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!

I''m not doing this for myself or for anyone I know personally. I figure it is better to remove all of the nasty things that are laying just below the surface to stop any more innocent victims from being injured and killed.

With more than 2400 mines/Km2 the K5 mine belt is one of the densest in the world. (To put this in to context, imagine the Q.E. Park in the Southdowns National Park (6Km2) could potentially contain 15000 landmines...would you feel safe walking with your family around this area?)

My aim is to cycle 100 miles (the entire length of Southdowns Way) in May to raise money for a charity called APOPO. They train African 'Super Rats' dubbed Herorats to detect un-exploded ordnance and landmines. Herorats are 100% accurate in detecting any explosives laying under the ground. The rats are also lighter than sniffer dogs, that can set off land mines by accident.

Please support my effort in raising money to help the people of Cambodia to be safe walking through their fields and country once again.
