We support people to help rebuild lives after stroke.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The challenge is to take place between 1st January 2018 and 31st December 2018, in June of this year it will be my 52nd birthday.

I decided to come up with an idea that involved my passion for angling and still provided a tough challenge involving maximum effort. I will be enlisting the help of many of my fishing friends across the country to point me in the right direction and offer advice for many of the different fish. I decided to set the challenge over 52 weeks to enable the seasonal fish species to be caught and thinking in terms of one species a week it works out well.

I chose to raise money for the Stroke association as a good friend and fellow angler  suffered a massive stroke and is inspiring me week by week with his own determination to recover. My own family has been effected by a Stroke and I think that awareness of the initial signs cannot be highlighted enough.

I have raised money through angling in the past with my Pounds for Pounds challenge raising £1000 for the children's charity Reach. I am confident I will succeed in the challenge and I know I have some of the best support a person could have with my friends and family.
