Story

Thanks for taking time to visit my JustGiving page.

In 2011, around 9,400 people were diagnosed with brain, other Central Nervous System or intracranial tumours in the UK. That’s 26 people every day.

My friend Steve Lloyd was diagnosed with a brain tumour and subsequently passed away in 2015 at only 40 years old.

Steve was my best friend both inside and outside of work, as we both lived in East Ham and worked for London Underground. Steve worked on the London Underground for the whole of his career, from a fleet apprentice, working at different fleet locations, through to becoming a key manager for rolling stock maintenance depots. Through twenty-two years of service to the company and the travelling public, Steve contributed so much to the Underground and London and was a well-loved character who left a positive impression on all those that knew and worked with him.
