Steve's 99.9 miles for Chris.

Hi guys,
I'm currently in The process of trying to lead a healthier life style, by loosing weight and in turn getting fitter.
I've decided to do a personal fundraising challange for Mind. Mind are a wonderful charity who offer support to people struggling with poor mental health. They have their 'blue light' campaign that specialises in supporting emergency services staff who are suffering.
The ambulance family recently and very tragically lost a great paramedic, Chris Ealden who was based out of Bracknell ambulance station. Chris was a great man who left behind a young family. He had suffered with his mental health for some time but was always very open about it.
Some may know of my background of working for the ambulance service, and I alongside many friends and colleagues have often suffered whilst pushing on with the job. Mind are there for staff to reach out to who may not feel comfortable reaching out to their colleagues or managers about what's going on inside their head. They are a national charity who not only offer immediate support and signposting to local support networks, but also offer training to ambulance staff, police officers, fire fighters, and search and rescue operatives in becoming mental health champions to support their teams and make sure the workplace is as stressfree as possible.
One thing I know, is that he'd be extremely proud of me and would have a huge smile on his face in my aim of getting fitter, as he was an avid gym goer. I also know that he'd be over the moon with the charity that I have chosen to support.
I am tasking myself with walking/running 99.9 miles throughout November and December (this won't include my general walks to the shops etc).
I know for many 99.9 miles won't be that much across two months, and I do aim to go above and beyond that number. I needed to find a number that was relevant to my challange (999), but also one that I think would be attainable; as one thing I'm good at is being lazy... And that in turn over the years has taken its toll on my physique and fitness. Its definitely time to kick that old habbit in the butt.
Anything you can donate to this more than worthy cause and in the memory of Chris, a truly fantastic man would be greatly appreciated.
I'll be tracking my runs through the power of satellites and mobile technology, and be sharing updates across my social media; any words of support and advice will always be more than welcome.
