The Fit for work programme is a unique in house programme operated by the Nottingham Probation Trust, It is a motivational and Life skills group that helps offenders to improve their health and employability through a variety of different activities,ie climbing, kayaking sailing, gym, Boxfit etc delivering health and nutritional advice and through the activities improving social, problem solving, communication and team building skills, raising self esteem, it also helps to improve empathy, time management, appreciation of others and trust. Offenders through the programme take part in numerous training courses which help towards employment, Mentoring, stewarding at Trent Bridge, ASDAN's, H &S, First Aid. The group are well motivated and wanted to do something to show that they have now taking a different path in life and are all aiming to improve themselves personally ready for the future, this is why they have chosen a local childrens charity to benefit the way they have done from doing things that they would never have dreamed of.
