We're at it again!...

On Saturday 7th of March we are taking part in the Rotary Club's Star-Trek Challenge.

This is a 16 mile overnight trek across Exmoor in whatever weather early March comes up with but the starting point is not known until a few days beforehand. That's 16 miles providing our (well, Nick's and Spicey's!) navigational skills are good and we don't get lost! Otherwise it could be a few more miles!

The 6 of us doing it (Steve, Chris, Dave, Alex, Matt and Nick) are all associated with the Football Club, whether it be past or present and after a few personal issues, I've always been keen on using the Club as a way to fundraise and support Charities in the same way that locals have supported our Club.

So this is the latest thing we've decided to do (or I've roped them in to do!). We are doing it to raise money for North Devon Hospice, a charity who we have done events for in the past and who are always worthy of whatever we can raise. It is a fantastic facility to have in our area and whilst it's hoped that you or your family will never need their help, it's very reassuring to know they are there.

We are well aware of the fantastic support we have received from everyone in the past and as it's only 5 months since our last event, we don't want to seem to be pestering people too much, so we have set our target at a realistic £300, which is the minimum £50 each that the event organiser's like you to get.

So if anyone would like to sponsor us and help us reach our target for this excellent Charity, it would be hugely appreciated. We also have paper forms if you'd prefer to sponsor us that way...just let one of us know.

Thanks
