Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The charity currently supports around 300 families in East and West Sussex who have children and young adults aged between 0-19 with progressive life-shortening conditions. Chestnut Tree House is a children’s charity providing hospice care services and community support throughout the local area.
The long training walks, aching limbs and blisters won’t stop our team at Smoke Control Solutions and S J Fry Window Controls based in Faraday Court, Manor Royal, Crawley. We are determined to trek to Angkor Wat in Cambodia in aid of the Sussex children’s hospice based in Arundel. Our team members for this once in a lifetime opportunity are Steve Fry, Steve Klingberg, Jessica Fry and Jordan French.
From Saturday 11th November 2017 to Sunday 19th November 2017, setting off from Siem Reap the team will hike through rice fields, up the Kulan Mountain and through jungles to reach the walled city of Angkor Thom and the spectacular Bayon, in the heart of the city. The challenge will be hot and dusty, but the famous smiles of this wonderfully welcoming country, with all its rich history and beautiful scenery will make it all worthwhile.
We ask if you would be interested in supporting us on our journey to help raise money for this wonderful charity. It currently cost in excess £3.5m each year for Chestnut Tree House to provide the best quality
of life for children, young adults and their families. The charity provides a total package of practical, social and spiritual support through each child’s life, however short it may be. Only 8% of this comes from central
government funding. With your help we can raise money to give these
children the best care possible.
Thank you in advance for your support Steve
