I'm running the marathon to raise money for the Whittington Hospital.  As most of you will know my wife Jane was the bereavement support midwife at the Whittington for many years.  I'm in awe of this amazing work; the charity allows the hospital to offer every family a free, personalised funeral for their baby regardless of gestation. I'm also thirty nine this year but that has nothing to do with it.
